Located at the heart of Shibuya, the leading district in music & fashion and worldwide focal point for Japanese youth culture, Womb Tokyo is the best place if you appreciate electronic music. The resident artists from abroad often find their launching pad in this unique club. Often compared to “Fabric” in London and “Space Ibiza” in Spain, it is quite a spectacular experience.
Womb Nightclub is much acclaimed among EDM music lovers & artists all over the globe and often takes up the role of club representative of Tokyo. For all the deserving reasons, it has often been featured on the top ten list of the most coveted jamming place in the world. On the top hangs a giant mirror ball in the hall that evokes huge emotion as you let your inner self unleash on the dance floor.
Club Camelot
Address – Japan, 〒150-0041 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jinnan, 1 Chome−18−2, 神南坂FLAME
Club Camelot Tokyo is one of the best in the city offering a relaxed environment without a forced dress code and living up in the bright colors. Hosting different events is something the club practices religiously, even extending to free booze for ladies on weekday nights.
Aiming at the suave and mature crowd, it plays a cool host to an array of clientele, from scruffy young Shibuya kids to dressed-up business people looking to wind down. There are a couple of floors inside the set up. While one of them holds 300 and specializes in hip hop, R&B and reggae, the main area at Camelot Tokyo can accommodate 700 people, either on the marble floor or lounge on the white leather sofas.
Atom Tokyo
Address – Japan, 〒150-0044 Tokyo, Shibuya, Maruyamacho, 2−4 ドクタージーカンズビル
Punch drunk in music is the ideal state of mind when you head for Atom Club in Tokyo, one of the most sought after night clubs in Tokyo. It calls for immense energy and unlimited vigor to keep up with the zeal and enthusiasm that the DJ’s of fame practice herein.
Be advised that an entry can only be obtained provided your age is 20 or above. The check is quite strict at the admission. Also be advised about the dress code. A beach sandal is not appreciated and may result in denied entry. Their pricing is always favorable for the women folks and can even be pocket friendly on weekday’s happy hours.
HARLEM
Address – 2 Maruyamacho, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan
Staying true to the name, Harlem Club in Tokyo lives up much to its reputation of the best of the hip-hop scene in Japan as the “holy land of hip-hop.” One of the oldest club in the city, it attracts populace from both Japan and abroad. It shall not be an exaggeration if I go ahead and certify the DJ’s here as the best in the country.
I recommend Harlem to anyone and everyone, irrespective of the fact it be their first or veteran visit to the club life.
To much of my dismay, I found the Japanese culture of night life quite exotic. It has something or other on offer for all, be them the wildest party animals, love-hunters, amateur dancers or just bunches of fun-loving people. Be pleasantly surprised with this particular facet of the Japanese. Make friends with some shots & music and make ever lasting memory.
